Shoshin Training : Sept 6, 2008
Some of the most important tenets of classical martial arts training are humility and the desire to always learn and grow. It is important to always maintain an open mind and to remain open to learning new things. To help remind ourselves of these values and to cleanse our bodies and spirits, we will occasionally have Shoshin (beginners mind) training sessions.

These sessions are designed to bring all members back to the basics of our training, where rank and title are not important and everyone is there to learn something new or to refresh their knowledge on something old. These sessions provide a great opportunity and an open forum for students and instructors alike to review, discuss, and dissect all parts of our art. In the end, every member walks away with a refreshed view of what they have learned over the years and a revived philosophy of why the study.
